On 14 March 2018, CW CPA was an official SME sponsor of the 6th Annual China Business Conference in London, United Kingdom. Organised by the China-Britain Business Council, the Conference is an annual flagship all-day event in the UK to promote trade between the two countries, which drew over 400 delegates from a wide range of sectors.
Lord Sassoon, Chairman of the China-Britain Business Council, commented on “another exciting year of trade” between China and the UK with an almost 20% increase in UK exports to China in the preceding year. H.E. Ambassador Liu Xiaoming, Chinese Ambassador to the UK, heralded 2018 as “a year for China and the the UK to shift to a higher gear in building our ‘Golden Era’”.
Ms Rosanna Choi, Founding Partner of CW CPA, was invited to be a panel speaker for the breakout session on “Getting Goods to China”. She emphasised the indispensable role of e-commerce as a springboard for entry into China.
Other sessions were held on the following themes: the Belt and Road Initiative; selling services in China; building Chinese government relations; the Chinese consumer; and the Chinese Dream (promoting a new paradigm of development based on urban regeneration and green technology innovation).
