CW CPA “crossed the bridge” to PLPEX

For the second consecutive year, CW CPA was present at PLPEX (Portuguese Speaking Countries Products and Services Exhibition (Macao)) establishing and developing strong partnerships in Macao. With the opening of the Hong Kong – Zhuhai – Macao bridge on 23 October 2018, CW CPA can leverage the new gateway to become the super-connector between Portuguese speaking countries and Greater Bay Area (Hong Kong, Greater China and Macao).

During the three days of the fair, we took the opportunity to meet with existing and new partners, and clients in Macao as well as well-established organizations such as local and Portuguese law firms, CPA firms, Banks, IPIM (Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute) and more.

To continuously strengthen Macao’s role as a platform for economic and trade co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, PLPEX continues to offer incentive schemes and activities so that the industries of Portuguese-speaking countries can, in an informed manner, fully utilize the channel and platform of Macao to explore business opportunities and invigorate the role of “going global” to explore market and “bringing in investment”.

A great example was the 4th Young Entrepreneurs Forum of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, this year with the presence of Lionel Leong, Secretary for the Economy and Finance of Macao, and Carlos Cid Álvarez, the recently (Feb. 2018) appointed CEO of BNU. CW Group partner Thomas Wong (once speaker at the event) was a guest of honor at this year’s Forum.
